Figs, Mulberrys & Hawthorns
Availability 2011-12
FIGS
£16.00 container grown, self-fertile.
|
Brown
Turkey
|
Probably
the hardiest fig for outdoors, or inside the greenhouse. The most reliable cropping variety for UK conditions.
In the winter of 2010-2011 only the Brown Turkey survived, and then only the larger specimens. All my other varieties perished completely.
I will restock with other varieties in years to come but not just yet, as I'm aware that extreme weather events often come in pairs. |
